Hamburg Airport (HAM)
Facilities and Services

(Hamburg, Germany)

Whether you are a tourist looking to explore Northern Germany or a businessman coming here for an important meeting, Hamburg International Airport (HAM) caters well for all kinds of visitor and traveller. Within its four main terminal buildings (1, 2, 3 and 4) are plenty of places to shop, eat and relax - you may even like to treat yourself to a specialist massage while you wait for your flight to be called.

For customers looking for that little extra, there is a VIP service available at Hamburg Airport, where for an additional charge, passengers can be pampered and enjoy celebrity treatment. This involves a separate check-in, terminal-side parking, a VIP bus (where necessary) and access to a quiet lounge, where you can soak in the panoramic vistas of the apron and airborne planes.

Persons with reduced mobility (PRM) are catered for well at Hamburg Airport, with assistance be available at all stages. However, prior notice to your airline is always advisable and very much appreciated. Special transport services are laid on by the German Red Cross (DRK), allocated parking spaces for disabled drivers are close by, and easy wheelchair access is everywhere. Passenger assistance from the 'Mediservice' part of the German Red Cross can be requested, along with wheelchairs. Those flying with Lufthansa should report to the special counter for passengers with restricted mobility, where you may be able to board quicker and more easily.

Other Facilities

Other facilities at HAM include good first aid facilities, as well as a well-stocked pharmacy (Apotheke). Also onsite is a hairdresser (Hair Society), a baggage repair service (Klockmann), postboxes, acupressure massage, shoeshine, a Christian chapel and a small casino (Spiel-In), which is open daily from 04:30 until midnight.
